The existing Taft Homes property near Peoria’s Riverfront is the point of conversation about future redevelopment. The Peoria Housing Authority Board received a final report on the potential redevelopment of Taft Homes this week. The board hired consultant, Brinshore Development earlier this year to come up with a community needs assessment, and site and financial plans for the property. But as Peoria Public Radio’s Denise Molina reports there’s still a ways to go before any movement will happen on what’s being considered prime real estate for the city of Peoria.
